Chatswood Rangers Junior Netball
What a great game netball is. Played throughout Australia and New Zealand, the UK and many other parts of the world, it doesn’t matter what level of skill or fitness you have, whether you’ve played before, or how long it is since you last played.
Playing netball is just as good for you as going to the gym – you will soon see and feel the results of improved fitness levels - and there’s the added bonus of learning ball skills and teamwork, making new friends, improving your co-ordination and increasing your confidence, and having a lot of fun.
At Chatswood Rangers we have girls from a large number of schools, including Mowbray, Chatswood, Artarmon, Lane Cove and Lane Cove West. Some of these schools have their own (great) teams, but we feel Chatswood Rangers can offer a smaller and more personal club, the opportunity to learn under the BEST coaches in the game, and the opportunity to meet girls from other schools and make a lot of new friends (… this has certainly happened to our daughters …)

How does Junior netball work?
Junior netball is a winter sport mainly running in terms 2 & 3.
However in advance of the season (usually 3 weeks in Feb):
· there is a selection process, which serves to form and register the teams, and
· this is followed by pre-season training sessions (late Feb/Mar/early Apr) so the girls understand the basics and know their team before the actual competition commences.
The Chatswood Junior Netball Club plays in the Northern Suburbs Netball Association (NSNA) competition (games usually commence late Apr).
For specific NSNA competition information/rules please refer to the NSNA website (www.northsnetball.com.au).
